We built Black Cactus as a studio for bands. That means having the gear bands actually want to play through, ready to go when you walk in.
The amp wall
Behind one wall at the studio is, well, another wall of amps. Highlights include:
- A 1962 Vox AC30 for that classic chime
- An Orange Rockerverb for gritty punch
- A Fender Deluxe
- Marshall stacks, because you can never have too many
Bringing your own rig is always fine. But having options on the day means you can try a different tone on a part without a trip home.
The new DW kit
Our newest arrival is a DW Collectors Series kit with a 22" kick and 15" rack tom. It's big and boomy, and it's already been put to work on The Meffs' deluxe edition of Business. Book in and you can use it too.
And the odd extras
